Fell Swoop has returned to racing in scintillating form this time and remains clear $1.65 favourite in 2016 Victory Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Fell Swoop has been a strong and consistent performer for Canberra-based Matt Dale through his entire racing career; posting a commendable eight wins and three minors through only thirteen starts.

Ending a typically strong 2015 campaign with consecutive wins in the Listed Cup Club Stakes (1200m) and Listed Testa Rossa Stakes (1200m), the Not A Single Doubt gelding left as a double-figure chance in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) first-up but produced a huge late turn of foot to finish second in a photo.

Progressing to fourth in the Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m), Fell Swoop was arguably at his most impressive when second to champion sprinter Chautauqua in the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) on Day 1 of The Championships.

Artlee and Knoydart are yet to herald munch interest in 2016 Victory Stakes betting markets but remain tied of the second line at generous $6 quotes.

Artlee quickly became the stable star for Todd Willan upon debuting to racing in 2014 and has subsequently posted six wins and two minors through twelve starts.

Undoubtedly finding career-best form to date through the 2015 Autumn Carnival, the Excellent Art gelding charged home to win the Country Championship Final (1400m) during The Championships before claiming a maiden black type win in the Listed Luskin Star Stakes (1300m) at Scone.

While failing to make much of an impact when ninth in the Group 3 Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) first-up this time, Artlee has been confirmed to be partnered by in-form hoop Michael Cahill.

Knoydart is a proven performer over course and distance and arguably offers punters the best value for money at current Victory Stakes odds.

Securing five wins and a further thirteen minors through 30 career starts so far, Knoydart was a standout during last year’s edition of the Brisbane Winter Carnival; running fourth in each of the Victory Stakes and Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) and finishing second in the Group 1 BTC Cup (1200m) most notably.

Having clearly needed the run when beating only one opponent home in the TJ Smith Stakes first-up, Knoydart is primed for success in the Victory Stakes after finishing a close second in the Hall Mark Stakes last time.

The Tony Gollan-trained Didntcostalot ($7.50) interestingly figures as the only other runner currently available at Victory Stakes odds of less-than $10.
